Stellar Rentals is a family-owned Atlanta business built on a simple belief: every guest deserves to feel the real Atlanta — not a generic hotel room, but a genuine, memorable experience they'll talk about for years.
My name is Alex, and I didn't set out to start a property management company. It started the way most good things do — with a simple idea and no grand plan.
I had a spare bedroom in my Atlanta home and figured I'd try listing it on Airbnb. My goal wasn't passive income or building a portfolio. I just loved Atlanta, and I wanted to share it. I wanted visitors to feel what I feel living here — the energy of the BeltLine, the neighborhood restaurants, the rooftop views of a city that's always becoming something new.
The reviews started coming in, and they said something I wasn't expecting. Guests weren't just rating a clean room. They were describing an experience. One wrote that staying with us made them feel like they were “a part of the ATL Vibe” — that the space was “just the right amount of luxury.” That review stopped me cold. I realized we weren't just renting a room. We were helping people make memories.
That became the mission. From that spare bedroom, my family and I grew to manage a townhouse, then another property, then our neighbors started asking us to help with theirs. Slowly, organically, Stellar Rentals became a real business — not because we set out to build one, but because people trusted us, and we kept earning it.

What We Learned the Hard Way
The magic is in the details nobody else wants to handle.
Managing short-term rentals looks simple from the outside. List it, someone books, a cleaner shows up, money arrives. The reality is a thousand invisible micro-decisions made every week — pricing adjustments at midnight, a cleaner who cancels an hour before checkout, a guest who asks about early check-in while you're at a family dinner.
We learned all of it firsthand, on our own properties, before we ever managed anyone else's. That's the foundation of everything we do: we know what it feels like to be the host, because we still are one. Every property we take on, we bring the same care we put into that first spare bedroom.
When we kept losing track of which cleaner had been assigned to which property, we built a system. When that system worked, we turned it into PrepBnb — a cleaning operations platform that automates checklists, tracks progress in real time, and documents every room after every clean. We run it on every property we manage, including our own.
Cleaning was just the start. When deposit disputes kept coming down to blurry text-message photos, we built Move Out Report — guided photo walkthroughs that generate shareable PDF reports tenants and owners can actually rely on. And when STR compliance started eating entire afternoons, we built PrepBnb Compliance to track permits, registrations, and occupancy-tax deadlines across jurisdictions. Every Stellar property is managed on top of this stack — and now it's available to hosts and managers everywhere.
One guest said we “underpromise and over deliver.” That's not a strategy. That's just what happens when you genuinely care about the outcome.

We build what we need
When off-the-shelf tools didn't meet our standards, we built our own software stack — PrepBnb for turnovers, Move Out Report for tenant documentation, and PrepBnb Compliance for STR compliance. Every Stellar property runs on it, and hosts everywhere can use it too.

This city is our home. That's not marketing — it's why we care.
We grew up here. Our cleaners live here. Our vendors are our neighbors. When a guest books one of our properties, they're getting the perspective of people who genuinely love Atlanta — not a call center managing from another state.
That local root goes deeper than knowing the neighborhoods (though we know them well — from the BeltLine to Buckhead, Midtown to Old Fourth Ward). It means our vendors answer the phone because they know us. It means guests get a digital guidebook written by actual Atlantans who know the best coffee two blocks away, not AI-scraped TripAdvisor lists.
Our job is to help every guest feel what that first Airbnb reviewer felt — like they got to be a part of the ATL. That's why we started. That's still why we do it.
